Homemade Taco Seasoning
After realizing the taco seasoning I had contained MSG (monosodium glutamate, a food additive linked to everything from headaches to nausea), I found this ridiculously simple recipe from $5 Dinners for homemade taco seasoning. After mixing it up, I used it in my 10-Minute Tortilla Soup to test the taste. It was a hit! My girls didn’t notice a difference and I thought it was incredibly close to the storebought variety. I’m very pleased, and as with vegetable broth base, I will stick to making it at home now.
